Last month, our hospital was re-inspection by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and we are proud to announce that we again passed with flying colors. But do you know what AAHA is and why it matters?
AAHA accreditation means that we hold ourselves to a higher standard than most other veterinary hospitals. AAHA is the only organization that accredits companion animal veterinary hospitals in North America. To become accredited by AAHA, our hospital must demonstrate an exceptional level of medical care and client service, and be measured against the most rigorous standards in the veterinary industry. During the accreditation process, an experienced AAHA accreditation consultant visits our hospital, thoroughly examining: our surgical suites, exam rooms, medical records, drugs and supplies, processes and procedures, and much more. In all, we are evaluated on approximately 900 standards that directly correlate to the quality of care we are providing your pet. The Animal Hospital of Parkland has been an AAHA accredited hospital since 1994. Only 12% of animal hospitals in the U.S. and Canada are accredited by AAHA, and we’re proud to say that we are one of them!
As an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital, we are dedicated to providing your pets with the best care possible. We hope you’ve noticed the AAHA difference during your visit to our hospital.
If you have any questions about AAHA please ask one of our team members.
